ThanksGiving and Fear

Why is it that the Thanksgiving Holiday season brings so much pain – especially when it is supposed to be a time for being thankful for what we have? It appears that the energies surrounding this year have intensified even more the challenges that many people are experiencing (especially the Canadian Thanksgiving which is celebrated over 6 weeks prior to the US – hopefully by the end of Nov the outside energies may be less intense). Regardless of the time of year that your culture celebrates ‘Thanksgiving’ the fear during this season is still a theme that requires thought. After all, what is it about these Holidays that creates such anxiety and fear?

Family gatherings are often permeated with difficulties from unhappy memories to outright conflicts. We have expectations that lead to unmet and unhappy outcomes. We expect our Thanksgiving gatherings to be filled with Love, Acceptance, and Happiness despite the fact that our only memories of this occasion are memories of an earlier time – when we were younger and innocent and when we tended to ignore the adults and stressful encounters of our Holiday get-togethers. We were blissfully ignorant. Yet we all play into the victim consciousness and ‘me’ mentality that leaves Thanksgiving and other family Holidays often permeated with strife.

Therein lies the problem. We expect Love, Acceptance, and Happiness but our expectations are unreasonable as these expectations create unnecessary stress as we try to create the ‘perfect’ gathering. We also tend to focus on ‘me’ and how everything we have no control over will impact us personally. In fact we often believe that everything that happens is personal! We stress ourselves as we try to create perfection and when our sought-after perfection doesn’t occur – which is always the case with our ego (our ego always finds fault) – we take it personally. We become stuck in victim consciousness and it impacts how we interpret the success of our Holidays. We almost always expect the worst – yet hope (which seems to also come from fear or misguided presumptions) for the best. We maintain the same family dynamics year after year – dynamics that stem from fear and so we try to control the outcomes. We also continue to see our ‘happiness’ as something that comes from outside ourselves so we try to control the outside factors of our get-togethers.

The thing is we mostly grow through our relationships. So if we are experiencing challenges during a time when we are to BE Grateful the question we need to ask ourselves is: what is my responsibility? What, in my striving for Happiness, is MY responsibility? And the answer is only given in how we respond to each situation. We have no control over what ‘happens’ in our life. We can’t change the past, alter how our relatives relate to one another, predict whether or not the dinner/gathering/gift is ‘perfect’ and whether or not we gain their approval, or whether or not we are being judged. The only thing we are ‘in charge of’ is how we respond to each situation! We have no control over what happens; we are only in charge of our response to the happenings.

Our fears push us to Grow Up. Any emotion that is less than Happy and Loving represents a fear. Sure, it is likely well hidden within our unconscious and we like to stuff our feelings away when they make us uncomfortable, but we have an opportunity to BE more aware and conscious of our feelings and actions. We can only do this, be more aware, if we are in the Present Moment and conscious of how we are BEing in the World. We can BE in charge of how we want to show up in the world. We can and to do that we can choose to go within and choose to BE Happy, Loving and Accepting of all that happens with an Open Heart.

We often believe that we are a product of what is occurring around us; that the emotions and happiness of everyone around us determines how we respond to each given situation. However, if we respond to our situations based on how other people react this only reinforces in us the victim mentality that permeates our society. We don’t have to be victims in as much as we can make a conscious choice to ‘show up’ in our lives. We can choose to BE happy regardless of what is happening around us; that’s us showing up! We have a choice! In fact that is one of the only ways we can truly BE happy. We can choose to be happy – just as we can choose to Love – as that is the only way to BE Love. We can choose to Accept everything about our lives – as that is the only way to have Acceptance. And our choices can only occur while we are conscious in the moment and therefore conscious of our emotions. And being conscious of our emotions we can be conscious of what we choose to experience within our lives.

Let’s understand how Victim Consciousness has saturated our reactions, our emotions, and our actions; and that only we ourselves have the ability to change our perceptions, beliefs, habits, and stories. We can’t do this change if we believe we are a victim so we have to let go of the pain – the fear – of being the victim. And although it sounds simple – and it is – it isn’t easy. However that is the way to Grow Up! It is through our choices that we can intend to BE Love, Happy, and Accepted for who we Truly are! So as we begin this Holiday Season – how do you want to ‘show up’? Unconscious and feeling miserable because Holidays make you feel like you are out of control? Or do you want to be in Charge of how you experience your Holidays? Let go of the need to try and make things perfect. Open up to the unlimited possibilities that exist all around us. Know that you can choose how you feel and when it feels like you have no choice, really examine how you are BEing in your current moment, your ‘right now’. Are you conscious and in the present moment? Are you choosing how you want to BE? Make conscious choices to BE Happy, Loving, and Accepting of yourself … and others! This Holiday Season BE who you want to BE. As Gandhi says BE the Change you wish to see in the World. Happy Thanksgiving!

Finding Peace

As I sit writing this we are coming up to the Beginning of the Holiday Season – it was right before the American Thanksgiving which leads to our Christmas Season. Every culture has Holidays during the end of theYear where we can feel Blessed and Grateful. The Spirit of Giving to others is part of the Magic that surrounds us each year at this time. We have movies that make us cry and laugh and fill us with Hope. We visit our families, friends and loved ones – some of these visits are challenging while others are exactly what our Soul needs. When I get into the Holiday Spirit each year I connect with this Magical Essence that reminds me why I work so hard to Grow Up and Find my Peace. Emmanuel Dagher during our last Club Miracles session discussed Good Fortune and how we just need to feel worthy of our Blessings and to be in the Flow of Life to experience Good Fortune. However, what I resonated with the most and of course what has been ‘showing up’ is that during this time one of our challenges with BEing in the Flow (BEing in the Present moment) is our ability to Love and Accept ourselves for who we are; to find Peace in where we are at the moment.

The Spirit of Giving to others is part of the Magic that surrounds us each year at this time.

We all have experiences, challenges, choices and personal stories that we have judged and continue to relive – things that we are unhappy about and especially around this time of the year when we set up our expectations for the Holiday Season such as visiting family or friends – events that can feel more like an ‘obligation’ than an ‘invitation to Share the Magic of the Season’. We have all experienced physical, mental, emotional and spiritual challenges, hardships, aches and pains, that tend to mold us or define us – as who we are or who we believe we are. We feel shame and guilt around our choices during these experiences – consciously or unconsciously – and how we react towards others as well as the parts of ourselves that experienced these challenges. However mostly we think about what we could have, would have, or should have done differently – we try to DO something that will fix, change, and heal the problem.

We try to control what happens. We try to find a way so that it never happens again and we often try to do this by doing something differently. Unfortunately this usually falls short of our goal to ‘fix’ the thing because we are in linear time – thinking about the past or worrying about the future where change is almost impossible because we are looking at what happens as a problem – from the perspective that something was ‘Wrong’ and then we are continually recreating it through our fears from the past. But we can’t change, fix or heal anything when we perceive it from the same energy that created it in the first place – a fear created within the first seven years of our lives. These fears are continued because we relive the same energy that created them from the past experiences we had (unconsciously) and we believed the fears were real. And by now you no doubt realize that our perception of what is ‘real’ is often based on our past experiences and the fears that we added to our ‘story’ from our past experiences – ‘stories’ that are not necessarily from the Truth.

We try to control what happens.

The only way we can be in charge of our responses – and therefore shift our fears – is if we are in the present moment or Flow of Life. We can’t change what happened! We can’t control what is to happen in the future. We can only shift our experience of each happening by changing how we respond to it and this can only be done when we are in the Now Moment – which means we can’t be reliving the past or worrying about the future. We can feel the ever present connection to all that is. I often do this through breath; others can uncover it by reviewing their five senses, meditating etc.

Once we are in the present moment we can consciously choose how we would like to respond to things that ‘happen’ in our lives. However, as Emmanuel pointed out, our problem with BEing in the present moment is that often we don’t like it! We aren’t happy with where we are – our current situation and its association with our past physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experiences. Which finally leads us to our heading of ‘Finding Peace’. We have to find a way to make peace with ourselves and our lives just as they are right now. It doesn’t mean we have to enjoy it, like it or condone it – and we most definitely shouldn’t be denying our experiences – we simply need to make peace with our current situation: to find a way to BE compassionate with ourself by sending love and compassion to each area of our self and of our life – or to our Self as a whole. We can send love and compassion for all the thoughts we’ve had, judgements, choices we’ve made and MAKE Peace with them – everything – we can fully accept them because they happened or they are part of who we are right now. Do not try to deny or sugar coat things – simply make peace with who You are – send love and compassion to all those parts of your Self now!

This is a Magical Time, BE inspired Hold Love, Acceptance & Inner Peace within your Heart.

What does physical, mental, emotional and spiritual Peace feel like? If you have any resistance to Peace send love and compassion to the resistance – the areas that you are frustrated with; the areas that you feel you need to change, fix, heal and/or that you judge about yourself and others. Give permission to step into peace when you are ready – use your five senses: sight, taste, smell, touch, sounds – how do they help you understand Peace? Can you connect to your Inner Self through your senses? Does your sixth sense establish your connection to Self? However you connect to Self, do you sense Peace or do you sense fear? Release your need to control everything and instead align with ease and peace – align with the present moment.

This is a Magical Time, a time which always inspires me to hold Love, Acceptance and Inner Peace within my Heart. I hope that you can capture some of the Magic – and find Peace to Nurture your Divine Essence. Let that Essence flow out into your life now and always – and KNOW You are Worthy! Be part of the True Spirit of the Holidays & Find Peace in the Moment. Happy Holidays from My Heart to Yours!

Magic and Worthiness

As the Holidays approach I always feel the essence of Magic all around us. This energy is always present but feels stronger this time of year because of the excitement and anticipation of getting gifts for our loved ones and planning get-togethers with everyone who is important to us. Yet I know that for some people this Holiday time brings anxiety as maybe their finances aren’t available for giving to others and for many people there is a feeling of loneliness during this time. This year Ziad Hashash, one of the co-facilitators of a group that I participate in, talked about Worthiness and that it has been something we have had to prove throughout our lives. This was a very powerful message that I thought I could share in my way to assist you to feel worthy of enJOYing the Magic of this wonderful energy and time of year!

Ziad shares that we must prove we are ‘worthy of approval, acknowledgment, appreciation and even love. We learn this throughout our lives – beginning at a very young age. We are taught that we must possess worthiness in order to have a purpose, make money, and attract a life partner and that our very survival depends on the world agreeing that we are worthy and that our self-worth comes from outside of us’One can see that being so outwardly focused this would impact our ability to connect with the Magic, the source of Worthiness, within us‘He claims this is the root of our problem as it is impossible to prove our worth as it resides within us, at the very core of our Being. And finally he claims that to turn off the ‘worthiness-seeking program’ we must stop acting like our worth is conditional and believing that we need to improve or change ourselves in order to gain worth. Looking outside for approval and worth keeps us trapped in a cycle with no way out.’

How powerful is this message to receive over a Holiday Season filled with Magic? The Magic that is available to us during this special time is because True Love exists in Giving. Too often we focus on what we want, need or desire or have expectations about because when we give we are expecting that we will receive something back in return. This creates expectations and conditions on what we give. Instead of giving from our Hearts to another; we are giving because our ego is desiring something in return.

This then brings us to worthiness. If we give something then we should ‘get’ something and getting something will help confirm that we are worthy. So why do we give conditionally? Because we believe that in order for us to be worthy of receiving gifts, we must be seen as worthy and we do this by giving gifts.

Often as children we were disappointed around Christmas because our focus was often placed on receiving – as media prepares us as children to desire certain items by bombarding us with all the newest and best Christmas toys available on the market. Then we are told that Santa has a good and naughty list so to be worthy of receiving what we want, which we are encouraged to share with the mall Santa or in a letter, we must be Good! When we don’t receive our list – our expected items – we automatically perceive this as us somehow failing to be worthy of receiving what we desired most! We perceived this as a child that we were Not Worthy! Unfortunately, we rarely are explained to that our parents didn’t have the money available to give that expensive gift, as it was a gift ‘supposedly’ from Santa, not our parents. And since our friends received lots of gifts (or claimed they did) we compared ourselves to them and perceived the lack as our own failure and unworthiness! And we hope that if we give the perfect gift to someone we love they will in turn gift us the same. How many times has this actually worked?

Maybe now we can be more conscious of the underlying reason we feel the need to give conditionally: that this Magical season was somehow unconsciously ingrained in us that our worth was attached to what we received instead of what we gave. Now with this perspective we can understand that our need to receive that perfect gift was attached to our worth instead of to the Heart for which the gift was given and we can see of course that the Magic isn’t in receiving at all but in Giving from the Heart. Imagine if we could have received this message as we grew up? How different our lives could have been! Of course we still seek acknowledgement for the gifts we give in hope that we will be found worthy but this need to feel validated, again, lies outside ourselves and is based on whether we feel worthy of even giving. After all, if we believe that we get our self-worth, our worthiness, from the outside and when we don’t receive what we desire even with our gift giving to promote a return gift to ourselves, how easy is it to continue giving gifts that do not produce the desired result: the feeling of worthiness. It’s almost amazing that we continue to give gifts if we are basing our giving on the possibility of receiving something in return, something that will enhance, hopefully, our self-worth because, for many people, the gift is not returned or not returned in the way that will enhance one’s self-worth.

The true Gift of the Magical Energy available to us – especially at this time of the year – isn’t what we receive or how our gifts are received by others: it is in the unconditional Love through which we give. If we knew that our worth wasn’t conditional on who we gave to or what we gave, that our Worth exists within us at the very core of our Being and Heart and that absolutely nothing could affect our Self-Worth, would we feel differently about this Magical Time?

So could you Open your Heart to the Magical Possibilities that are all around you and Let that Magic Inspire you to Create the Love that is Unconditional and Accepting of our Life and World? Could you Know that Love abounds and Magic exists to Create, Play and Dance within your life? Could you Give with Your Heart and Share this Magic to everyone you meet – even if it’s just a smile or a word of encouragement. Could you BE Grateful to be a part of the Magical World?

This time, this Magical Time, always inspires me to Hold Love within my Heart. I hope that you can capture some of the Magic for which this was written and KNOW how Worthy you are! Happy Holidays From My Heart to Yours!

From Me to Unconditional Love and Acceptance

This past month I have been very aware and focused on something that I have been discussing with Tom Campbell (and others) and writing about for the past couple of years: How to come from a place of unconditional love and acceptance. We often are too focused on how others affect us or when something happens; we unconsciously look at how it impacts us. An example would be when interacting in a relationship and there is a conflict we automatically look at what this conflict means to us. We take whatever the conflict is personally and we react personally and this means we react from a place of ego. We allow what is happening to trigger us emotionally and we perceive it from a pattern that has created a story in our lives.

Let’s give this even more meaning and look at it from a pattern of abandonment as this is a trigger most people understand. So we are engaged in a conversation with another person – and this could be any relationship although an intimate relationship often has more of a charge to it – and one of us gets triggered first and that often leads to the other person also getting triggered. Now we first have to understand that both of us have grown up having different experiences which leads to having different triggers and that leads to having different stories that we have created. Our experiences define our lives by the age of seven. By the age of seven we do not have an emotional understanding of our experiences and we don’t consciously understand what is happening to us. However our brain likes to clump our experiences together so that our ego can protect us from being hurt. Let’s understand that by the age of seven nothing is fully processed and our pain and fears are very uncomfortable. We make assumptions and beliefs from these experiences and this leads to a story being created around abandonment that may not even make logical sense at this later point in our lives. However this experience continues to trigger us because since the age of seven we have had plenty of experiences that have been clumped together that have added to our understanding of abandonment. We have had friends, family,  partners and co-workers and others leave us in some way that we have interpreted as abandonment – even when it is just an interpretation or perception that they have left ‘us’.

Now, moving forward 20, 30, 40, or 50 years and we engage in a relationship that is triggering someone else or still triggering ourselves. We unconsciously interpret it as abandonment. We get triggered or we trigger someone else who then triggers us and we react. We react the same way as we did when we were seven. We might not have a temper tantrum like we did when we were two but the emotional impact, the emotional charge, is the same. We perceive this as something happening to us personally. We experience this event as the same ‘story’ we have created and we react mostly unconsciously from a place where this hurts. We react!

If we are on a path that is evolving towards love this requires us to not take anything personally – especially things that impact us negatively – but rather for us to move into a place of unconditional love and acceptance.  To evolve towards love we must consciously understand and see when we want to first react and then, instead, take charge of our personal view of the situation. We want to become aware of our emotions. When we are with another and we are sharing a conversation with that person or even sharing space and they get upset we typically go into survival mode and our ego looks to justify, blame or judge who is right or wrong. When someone does something we don’t like or want, we automatically add this experience to our story and our ego is in charge. We have to understand that every single person has their own story that was created by the age of seven. Everyone has their own issues, their own ego, their own pain, fear and suffering that is ‘real’ to them.

We have to be able to ‘see’ our automatic reactions as what they are. Then we have to be able to ‘see’ the person in front of us as also having an automatic reaction. And this is where it gets interesting; this is when we can make a choice. The first choice is: do I come from a place of ‘me’ and how is this affecting me? Do I automatically justify, blame and/or judge this situation or person as abandoning me? Do I add this to my story of abandonment? Or can I step outside of my initial response and make another choice? Can I then look from a place of ‘other’ and see that no matter what is said or done that this person actually believes they are trying to persevere through their pain and their own abandonment story? They are trying to do what is ‘right’ for them and it is just ‘their’ story when they get triggered. They are justifying, blaming and judging the situation based on their own experiences and story created by the age of seven.

On this path towards evolving towards love we can become more conscious by knowing that whenever we are triggered or feeling uncomfortable that this is just a reaction to a story or experience we had in the past. Then we can really ‘see’ and hold space for another while we are with them. We can create a safe space of consciousness and acknowledge that when someone reacts it really has nothing to do with us and instead of reacting to our emotions, we can allow those emotions to get provoked without our reactions or these emotions getting in the way. We can learn a great deal about the other person when we don’t go into reaction mode with them. We can change our story and stop or heal our unconscious reactions. Plus, once we can hold space and BE from a place of consciousness we can see the “other’s” fears and triggers. We can sit with them and not feel our own pain and fear. We can stop the pattern or our reactions and come from a place of ‘truth’ as we understand that both the pattern and/or our reactions are triggered and our reaction and the other person’s reactions are not rational but from a perspective of a young child who doesn’t understand. This gives space for everyone to come from an authentic place and not automatically react. It offers a ‘safe’ place, something that not everyone has experience with. Let’s give them a safe place. It will be good for all of us.

My focus on choosing not to be triggered by myself or others this month was a wonderful opportunity for me to understand this concept from a place of expansion and awareness. It was an opportunity for me to see how others can get triggered because they are only coming from a ‘me’ place. These experiences have allowed me to quiet my anxiety and quietly hold authentic space for another person to BE and for me to see the bigger picture and move towards my evolution towards Love!  You may want to take this upcoming month and focus on the same thing and see how your understanding can expand. Perhaps creating a ‘trigger journal’ where you write down every day what has triggered you and see if you can chose to not get embroiled in the emotion but rather observe it and see it from a perspective of unconditional love and acceptance. Happy Awareness!

Healing is Remembering You Are Whole

As most of you know by now I look for my inspiration from my life. I dedicate my work to Growing and Evolving towards Love within myself first! So, when I connect with someone or a class I feel inspired to take, I will. This month Emmanuel Dagher is promoting his Core Attunements work that begins Sunday August 14th for 5 weeks. If you sign up by August 10th you receive “A Clear Path to Healing” attunement that I have received and that is the inspiration for this Blog! It is packed full of incredible information on Healing and confirms much of my work. What I want to discuss is the core belief that “Healing is Remembering You Are Whole”! How inspiring is That! Think about the possibilities this suggests!

When we feel separate from Source and our Inner Self we believe we have to heal, change or fix ourselves or others. We believe this because we don’t feel our connection to Source. We feel broken and ‘not enough’! We are driven to try to fix or change ourselves and often do this by searching outside of ourselves. We seek someone or something that will fix, change or heal our thoughts, our bodies, our emotions and our Soul/Spirit. As discussed in my last blog on Addictions to Wholeness we become addicted because we don’t remember who we are and that we are already ‘whole’ within ourselves. We become addicted to searching outside ourselves for the answer that lies within. That answer is that we are already ‘Whole’! We don’t need to change or fix ourselves and healing occurs when we remember this ‘truth’.

Now we know that ‘things happen’ and we will never have complete control over anything that ‘happens’. However, we can be in charge of how we respond and we can choose Love instead of reacting from a place of fear. We only react when we take things personally. We take things personally because we forget ‘Who we are’ and that we are already ‘Whole and Perfect’. True freedom comes when we stop seeking outside ourselves and know what can only be offered from within. True freedom comes when we stop our ‘addictions’ which distract ourselves from discomfort and from feeling all the beliefs we have that we are Broken and Not Enough. This is when we can stand in ourselves and, like Matt Kahn says, “Whatever Arises, Love That”. Love it and remember that we are already Whole. We have a Divine Spark within us that is Infinite and Whole!

Things happen and we can choose to come from a place of Love instead of Fear. We can choose to connect to that Infinite BEing within us that is Whole and Knows it is Perfect just as it is. When we stand in a place of BEing empowered we remember. When we get caught up in the Fear – and fear permeates the collective unconscious of this planet so there’s a lot of fear – we then believe we have to change, fix and heal something within ourselves or someone or situation outside ourselves. This is how we forget and this is when ‘healing’ loses the Magick that we inherently are.

Let me give an example of what I’m saying: this month I had to have a root canal on a back molar. Ten years ago I was told I would likely have to have a root canal on this tooth. This month I remembered why I am terrified of dentists (after my dentist asked me to meditate while she was doing a cleaning as she refused to fill the tooth that needed a root canal): when I was 6 or 7 I ran into a wall and chipped my tooth. The dentist that we had told my parents and everyone (including our insurance) that I had to have a root canal on this tooth because it was exposing a nerve. I discovered many years later this root canal was never done and he lied. However, I believe now he was a bit of a sadist and this lie gave him an opportunity to torture me without the proper local anesthetic for a couple of hours. My mom remembers me screaming the whole time. So this fear began a long mistrust in authority figures! This kind of mistrust impacts almost every area of my life. It sets up a pattern of mistrust and a belief that others can have power over me. So I kept putting off the procedure.

However avoidance and ignorance won’t make something go away. We already tried this with our addictions. Pretending they aren’t there won’t help us to BE Whole or to remember our Infinite Self.  Now it is possible that I could have ‘healed’ this from ever having to occur but as I said “things happen” and I had delayed it out of fear for too long. Things happen because we need to remember and in this case ‘heal’ my fear around a distrust of authority figures (which I may have never realized if it wasn’t through this dental surgery). The gift in ‘healing’ may not be what we want (not having to ever go to a dentist) but can certainly be what we need – which is to heal a belief that is disempowering!

Things will continue to happen in our lives and our choice is to Remember Who we Are. To choose Love over fear. To Remember we are always Whole. Our bodies are temporary and borrowed. We can grow in changing our beliefs. I couldn’t trust dentists so I ignored and avoided them. I chose Fear! Freedom comes from choosing LOVE regardless of what happens and remembering the Magick of our Infinite Self. This empowers us to Remember our Wholeness and experience the Infiniteness of our True Self. Is there anything you are still living in fear of? How can you Remember the Magick of YOU that is Infinite and Whole?

Purpose ~ Do you know yours?

Lately, the idea of ‘Purpose’ has been in my line of focus (I completed a show with Tom Campbell on Purpose). Purpose is this interesting concept that we have. We believe that our purpose is somehow tied up with our identity. So we have this grandiose concept of ‘what we do’ is ‘who we are’. What I mean by this is that we identify with what we do, what our ‘work’ is as part of our identity. And we also believe that as we define ourselves by what we do, our ‘purpose’ is somehow linked to our work. And our ‘purpose’ is our Soul’s Purpose. Our ‘purpose’ is ‘Who we are’, what our Soul has decided to work on in this life.

We also look outside ourselves for assistance to uncover this elusive ‘purpose’ in hopes that someone else can direct us to our living our highest potential and our new ‘work’ will be reflected within this discovery by someone outside ourselves. I always find it amazing that we put our hopes in another’s hands to tell us what our whole life has been telling us.

Every core issue is uncovering our ‘purpose’! Every dream and turn we have made in our lives has been to right us on the path of discovery of Who we are. What we chose as our higher education – even for those who were pushed by their parents into their unfulfilled or chosen field. How we live our lives. Every relationship. All these have helped us uncover this potential of who we are!

The problem of course is that we often are not our ‘authentic’ self and we are looking outside ourselves for our validation in hopes of discovering this ideal. As Tom Campbell suggests our Purpose is to Grow-up and BE Love.

A crystal child in the book “Communication with Children of Now” by Meg Blackburn Losey suggests we have two purposes: a major purpose is to ‘make a difference’ and the other purpose is to enjoy the game. Tom has added to the major purpose of this crystal child to not make ‘making a difference’ the goal, but to be motivated to BE caring and compassionate to others. This may seem like a subtle difference but if you are just doing things like volunteering because it’s the ‘right’ thing to do because it will make a difference in this world, then you aren’t doing it from your heart. Which means eventually you will bring your ego into this process, you will resent that some people get paid, that people are ‘doing it wrong’ and you will try to fix, change, or manipulate the ‘service’ and eventually be very unfulfilled and resentful because your ego is taking over your volunteer work. Offering to do volunteer works because you love it, because you want to care for others, and because you are a compassionate person mean you will enjoy it without involving your ego.

Our purpose really isn’t this elusive ‘thing’ that we do or have to discover. It is the Gift of Who we are! It may carry over into our work but our work isn’t what defines us. In fact, we could fulfill our purpose in everything we do. If we are BEing authentic, if we are BEing ourselves then we naturally are our work. Meaning, someone who is a ‘leader’ will be learning all their lives about leading. They would have had early experiences of both good and bad examples of leading; they would have done both good and bad examples of leading; and they will lead wherever they are or in whatever they do. We don’t just all of a sudden have someone tell us our ‘purpose’ and we have nothing to do with this information.

However, we may not be aware of our ‘gifts’ consciously and this is often because we don’t always have an unbiased view of our world. And we are usually attached to BEing a certain way.  So it is possible that we haven’t seen that from our childhoods we have always loved to communicate, that we have always been very social and extraverted, or that we have always enjoyed writing stories, blogs and exploring other ways to communicate. However, it should be no surprise that our purpose is to communicate because we have had many examples in our lives and probably ‘communicating’ is a large part of the lessons you are learning in your life. Do you see how this works? Our purpose is who we are and what we are learning in this life.

And if we are not be able to see what we do best our friends and family can often be the ones who can tell us what or who we are.

One of the ‘gifts’ in this life is uncovering the magic that lies in our lessons, in our struggles, and in our choices that we have made in our relationships. Experiencing this magic helps us free up so much energy and love within us. Remembering ‘who we are’ is so empowering when we can discover it ourselves when we find the magic in our lessons. And so it is important to know that all the struggles, pain and fears we have endured are part of the process of uncovering our Gifts and Purpose. And when we realize that this is all part of the Divine plan to own who we are and to live our Purpose it frees us from the struggle!

I invite you to find a way to BE who you are and express your Gifts through your Purpose in life. Then we can do the secondary purpose the young crystal child saw, which is to finally have FUN and enJOY the game of life!
